We've been busy, busy, busy with life and loving on our sweet Wilhelmina. Since my last post, several milestones and lots of good times have ensued. They include (in kind of, sort of, chronological order):
- Wilhelmina is talking. Well, OK, it's more like lots of fabulous squawks and squeals. Everyday it's a little different and she really enjoys talking. She is so interactive and smart!
- Teething has begun! W's first 2 teeth are beginning to grow in on the bottom. There is lots of drooling and she LOVES to stick anything and everything in her mouth.
- We are finally on a great sleep schedule. Naps have increased and Willa is sleeping through the night or most of it with just the occasional wake up for a snack and then back to sleep. This is heavenly! Thank you, sweet girl!!!
- We had a wonderful visit from Aunt Troublemint, all the way from Atlanta, and Aunt Alicia came to visit too! So mommy got to have a night out at one of her favorite restaurants (Benjy's) with 2 of her favorite ladies!
- W's first airplane ride and visit to FL was in the beginning of March. She did so well on all the flights and seemed to enjoy our whirlwind trip to visit family and friends. We're planning to make it down in mid July. We're so glad she got to meet so many of our wonderful loved ones. We are so lucky to have friends and family like you. And if we didn't make it to see you this visit, we'll do our best to see you this summer.

- W's first art festival, Houston's Bayou City Art Festival
- We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary and Willie's 4 month birthday with a trip to our old pregnancy standby, Outback, W's first visit outside the womb. Mom was still in town, so it was a great night out with a stop @ Pinkberry on the way home for good measure. MOCHI!!!
- We celebrated my 35th birthday with a leisurely lunch @ Boondoggles with great friends. This was a little different than the usual debauchery that ensues on my St. Patrick's Day birthday. Not exactly St. Patrick's Day in Savannah on River Street, but splendid just the same!
- Mommy chopped her hair and officially has mom hair! Of course Stacey didn't make me look too boring, but I definitely was tired of having to take care of long hair and was ready for something easy so I could spend all that wasted blow dry time with my baby girl.
- 4 month shots - Shots are never easy, for us or for W, but she was a trooper as usual and took them like a champ! As of her 4 month check up, Willa is 12.7 pounds, 24 inches!
- Willie got to meet Unca Jimmy on a quick trip down to Houston for work!
- On March 27, I returned to work. We're grateful that we're both able to work our schedules so we only have to put her in day care on Tuesdays, Thursdays and the occasional Wednesday morning or afternoon. It was tough dropping her off this week and knowing that she's growing up. The "Wilhelmina starts day care" milestone seemed miles away for so along. But alas, as of today at about 4:30, we survived the first of week day care. And to be honest, Willa seemed to absolutely love it. She comes home exhausted and happy from her fun filled day and everyone there seems to love her. What more can you ask for?
